602nds with Manuel Quinziato

Dec 22, 2009

This week @602nds caught up with Manuel Quinziato for a short interview, as Manuel is currently training in Spain the interview was conducted by email.  Although, It would have been nice to fly to Spain and do a 602nd video interview, maybe next time when the budget allows!

Manuel is an Italian rider who currently rides for the professional cycling team Liquigas. Manuel is 30 years old and in his spare time is completing a law degree. He enjoys listening to music, but as his Twitter Account says “No commercial Shit”.

Hope you all enjoy this 602nds interview with Manuel…

602nds: What is the one race you would like to win before you retire from cycling?
Manuel: Paris Roubaix

602nds: What is your personal cycling goal for 2010?
Manuel: The northern Classics. Trying to be more concrete!

602nds: What is your all time cycling moment?
Manuel: I guess my victory at the U23 European Championship

602nds: Do you have a tip for someone who is just started out riding?
Manuel: This sport asks you a lot but will give you a lot, so never give up!

602nds: Do you have a ritual you do before all your races, or a lucky charm etc…
Manuel: No, nothing… Just need my music!

602nds: If your iPod was broken and it could only play one song continuously.. What would it be?
Manuel: That’s a hard question… Creep – Radiohead.

602nds: If you could go out to dinner with anyone, who would it be and why?
Manuel: Jesus Christ, the real one. I want the real story cause I’m pretty sure they told us a lot of bullshit until now…

602nds: Is there a question you have been wanting someone to ask in an interview but they haven’t? If so what is it..
Manuel: Rumors say that Italians are very serious and therefore will not have sex during the season as they think that it will damage their performance in the races. What do you think about that?

602nds would like to thank Manuel and wish him all the best for the 2010 Cycling Season.
