With 40 days to go until the Elite Mens Road Race at the 2010 UCI World Championships in Melbourne/Geelong, Cycling Australia has announcedthe Elite Mens team. With a long list featuring Australia’s best riders there was sure to be some surprises and disappointments.

Notable ommissions include: Robbie McEwen, Mark Renshaw, Adam Hansen, Chris Sutton and Heinrich Haussler. Still a very strong team, we move forward to counting down the days.

Former triple world time trial champion Michael Rogers and rising star Richie Porte will ride for Australia in the Elite Mens Time Trial.

The 2010 UCI World Road Championships will be held in Melbourne and Geelong from 29 September to 3 October

    Now how good would that squad look as a Protour team?
    Put Heinrich,Renshaw, Lloyd and Hansen in there and you have possibilities of one of the stroongest teams for any race condidtions.
